Child Psychiatrist Dr. William Ayers - Charged with Molesting Boys for Years! A note to PAVE from journalist Victoria Balfour ... I am a New York City journalist who basically broke the case of a child psychiatrist named Dr. William Ayres in California who had been molesting young boys for four decades. I turned over my information on the victims, which they used for the search warrant to seize the doctor's records. When Dr. Ayres was arrested, the San Francisco Chronicle said that had it not been for my investigative efforts, Dr. Ayres would not have been arrested, The trial of Dr. Ayres is underway. I am not a witness for the prosecution and was told by the DA's office that I would not be a witness for the defense. But when I arrived to cover the trial for a newspaper, the prosecutor was hostile to my presence and colluded with Ayres' defense attorney to keep me out. It's been a nightmare. The prosecution would not have this case had it not been for me and now they have betrayed me by not wanting me in the courtroom. Click here for more info.Thank you for supporting PAVE. Donate today to continue efforts to shatter the silence of sexual violence in your communities! Sincerely,

June 15 a “dragon tale” of Jacki Blue
Genres: Self-Help / GeneralBody, Mind & Spirit / OccultismPhilosophy / General David Perry 11/6/2007 Review, The Dragon's Tale by Lady J Talks: From the cosmic to the warm and funny, I promise you that "The Dragon's Tale" will be the most interesting philosophical work you've read in a long time. The author, "Lady J." whom I am honored to call a personal friend, is a committed, tireless advocate for survivors of what used to be called "Multiple Personality Disorder" (I believe the condition is now called "Dissociate Identity Disorder") and has overcome a myriad of almost inconceivable hardships in her life. When read with these facts in mind, it becomes clear that "The Dragon's Tale" describes (in microcosm), a courageous, sometimes terrifying journey to recovery, self-acceptance, and forgiveness. What emerges from this ingenious and charming mix of dragons, wizards, dream-states, and humans is a radiant and inspiring glimpse into a strong and beautiful soul. I applaud you Lady J. And on behalf of your many loving friends and fans, I thank you. David Perry. The voices and words of Lady J are from the world she had to learn to live in while growing up in a family that did not understand that what they called discipline then would be tantamount to child abuse by today’s standard. Coupled with being extremely sensitive to not only my surroundings, also to touch. Which I believe in part increased the dissociate behavior on my part. As the fifth child I was suppose to follow the example of my older siblings. My parents often said in later years that I never listened to them which was why I was hit so much. When they would yell I would dissociate from the sound which then brought out more anger when I was hit. I understand that these things were not known in those years. What bothers me most today is that for all the knowledge that is known about all the conditions that they have labels for now, my family still does not recognize or validate these facts. I understand mostly that they have no need to and it's my belief that never felt the same as I did and only have their narrow view to believe in. I'm the one that is labeled mentally ill and my conditions are only an excuse to justify my own behavior. Even after I allowed them to read my first story of my life, in my words and opinions, the greatest offenders told me I was lying, creating a great story as I always had, and one even said that I never told my father the through because I would have to admit my own complacency in what happened. I chose not to tell him, one for the fear he would have to make a choice between my mother and brothers and myself. The greatest thought was that I did not want him to feel bad for his last years over something he had no control over and nothing could be changed about it. My family think that I blame them for my life and condition which if they ever decided to get educated they would know that this is the farthest from the truth as they could get. I had to accept my family and my condition so long ago that it makes me laugh when I hear anyone say that. Those of us who grew up all those years ago all have had to accept that was was normal and acceptable back then yet still caused the creation of many different conditions even though what they considered real trauma and abuse, yes, even some still today think that way, was all that we can think of it. Unless they want to consider that we were born with the chemical imbalance that cause us to perceive our world differently then the others. We'll never know that for sure, so it makes no sense to argue about it. Our lives was what is was, We survived/lived it the best we could, Made our way out of it and live what we can like today. The effects are still with me, yet I've learned so much that it has made most of my life ok. It was those years between making the connection with the cause and the life I had lived up to that point that has left the largest scars on my spirit. This story a "Dragon Tale" was LadyJ's way of giving purpose and some brief education to anyone who found themselves behind that door in their own dark place. Mostly she says "Just look for the light". May you enjoy my look on life and some of the brief lessons learned along the way. They are good lessons for anyone to use in their life. My beliefs have come from years of listening and implimenting what worked for me into my world. I'm not a person to push any special belief system onto anyone, yet by reading many, I have learned that they all speak of the same thing and there are many good words of wisdom to be learned from them. May your journey be safe and my your life be full of Light, Jacki M SeiWell a “Dragon Tale” will also be available as a FlipBook through Lady Jz Talk Zone and Duffy’s Closet web sites for viewing and purchase in cd/dvd forms. The purpose of putting it to print here was so others could have a hard copy and also buy one for someone that they think could use it in their dark times. Please visit us at http://ladyjztalkzone.com and see all the picture work that went into making a “Dragon Tale”. The clip art and other pictures where taken from the internet as they became the visual of what I pictured of the parts created. I then took them and added them to my own picture of a real tree that I found behind a place where I once lived. I believe all of them were free yet if you find one here that is not please contact me with the information. Lady Jz Talk Zone has been on the internet in many forms for the best part of the last ten years. I’ve had support groups, a journal project called the “Echoes of Courage” where in seven women shared their lives with me online. It will be one of next projects to come. At the talk zone there is a sample of that book to come plus my own personal story of those things I could retrieve from the mind kept for many years in a special file I called “what they did to hurt me”. It contains complete picture memories and words of hurt that I have felt. Whether intentional or not, abuse hurts and stays with us for a life time. Moving from the Trauma Train to the Joy Jet!
I have been on the road since March and am finally home again. As many of you who are my Facebook friends know, I injured my back very badly as I was traveling so I haven't sent out any updates in awhile. I lifted up a heavy piece of luggage and ended up having a herniated disk that shifted into a compressed disk. It is getting better without surgery, thank goodness, but it has been the worst pain of my entire life. I was flying into Kansas City, MO to speak at the MOCSA event recently and my flight was canceled due to the fact that a cable was broken, causing the plane to have no brakes! Everyone on board lined up and was in a fuss to get on board the next flights out. I was unable to stand up so I couldn't stand in line at all and had to sit and wait for another wheelchair when this lovely woman named Tammy offers to stand in line for me. She was able to get the last two seats on the next flight to Kansas. We had to transfer in Washington, DC. When the skycab in DC literally pushed me to the curb and left me stranded there with no wheelchair and no help with my bags, Tammy was the one who found a wheelchair, got me and my bags safely to the next plane just in time and saved the day. Sticking with the repeated message in Searching for Angela Shelton that everything happens for a reason, it turned out that Tammy works for Meet Up.com http://www.meetup.com/ where unlike other social networks, it is all about meeting in person in your community. So she started an Army of Angels topic so that the angels out there can find each other and meet up in person! Awesome! I love those little miracles.
It has been a while since I've been able to be in front of the camera as an actress. The last time was playing the part of the superhero Safe Side Superchick in the Safe Side video series. When I first moved to Hollywood I booked a TV pilot every year and did a few guest roles on shows like Chicago and Becker. Since then a lot of things in my life have transpired from writing my life story about me and my mom in the film Tumbleweeds that I co-wrote to making my directing debut with my documentary Searching for Angela Shelton and the subsequent personal discovery and recovery work that that journey entailed! I have certainly gained a much greater appreciation for the craft of acting and the whole process of filmmaking since my original acting debut in Hollywood.
Humor and Healing... You can also watch this on Blip or watch it on YouTube My events have transitioned from trauma to joy and keep getting funnier. If you'd like to bring one of my events or a workshop to your community contact my mom at joann@angelashelton.com. I'm also putting together a private women's group for those ready to move well past trauma and into joy financially as well as spiritually. If you are interested in joining those calls email women@angelashelton.com Peace and Love,

Alyde makes it stress-free and affordable to bring socially important projects online. They assist in the development and management of websites that make a difference in the world. The official version of Searching for Angela Shelton with fancy graphics and never-before-seen footage, Spanish subtitles, closed captioning and a director's commentary is finally ready! The title company is the only company that I have worked with over the past 8 years that has made it difficult for this little movie that could. Those of you who pre-ordered helped pay for the Spanish subtitles and closed captioning but the titles came back and didn't work! I have been working to get it all straight and now the DVD is ready to be duplicated! Finally! It looks great and the director's commentary is hilarious. Now we are onto duplication and your pre-orders help get it out faster. Thank you so much for your dedication and commitment to this powerful movie that created a movement! This has been one long difficult road with many hurdles but you have helped keep it going.

Once again, some great websites to share of folks doing some wonderful advocacy work, via their respective creative mediums and more. And, a shameless little plug on myself as well – please visit this link for Anchor Magazine, Conquering Depression http://www.anchormag.com/e107_plugins/szproducts/product_details.php?product_id=59 Scroll down a bit to see the article “Breaking Through - Striking a chord”, on myself…but you will need to order the magazine to read it in full. The article came out great…an interview with me, along with some folks who have hired me to present and some who have been inspired by my music and public speaking. My oldest daughter Alisa was also interviewed for this article…so this made it even more special!!! A bit of a reflective day for me today…my brother David would have been 54 years old today…sadly, he took his life many years ago. So...in honor of his spirit, I am sending this newsletter out. I will attach an article that I wrote for the journal “Many Voices” [www.manyvoicespress.com ] that was published several months ago…I share a few words about both of my brother’s, David and Danny [lost to suicide also]. Part of my reasons...my motivations, for sharing this little newsletter, is to help foster hope and healing. We all try in our own little way to help create change…I hope by sharing insight and information on others, who also address the issues and concerns of trauma, abuse, & mental health…..helps to that end. Location: Medinah Shrine Center May 07 Nothing New Age about KabbalahMany people when they hear the word Kabbalah first think of Religious teachings and/or prayer. Yet it is truly neither of those. I think of it as I've heard it is about What is in our hearts or what we believe in our soul. It is a lesson plan, a guide, a journey into our spiritual nature that grows and transforms over our life time. For me that has been so true. As I renew my spirit and work towards those feelings I have not had in many years, things pass through my day that help to remind me of those earlier lessons that prompted some of my first changes in my life and my thinking. Raised in a good Catholic family in the 50's I was taught through the Catholic schools the religious way of prayer which involved the Good and Bad parts of life and the pact you make with God to get what you wanted in life. They taught me God always heard our prayer and answered accordingly. It actually came down to a few concepts which I have heard in the films above that it became a bribery with God to no avail. Wow! now that hits home I'm sure with many like myself who call themselves Recovering Catholics. The Kabbalah talks about events and actions are all good we just are not able to feel it that way until we have expanded our spirituality to a point where I understood the purpose of each event in my life. Like many other teachings, books, thoughts of the day that helped me change my beliefs so that I could feel it's purpose. I found knowing things because I had read or learned them didn't change the way I felt or the way the event made me feel. For me I had pictures of my life and I never have the feelings that most professionals thought I needed to connect with. Does that mean I was born with an advanced spirituality or did Dissociation play the total role in how I remember the event. I sensed that what happened to me was wrong yet I was taught from my childhood that I had to accept it all. In my family of origin I was taught from a very young age that I asked for everything that happened to me that I perceived wrong. Accepting that though I thought they were wrongs done to me and later learned from professionals that these were wrongs I still have never felt wronged by the events in my life. Did I have an inner knowing even at a young age that this was part of something larger then my small world in which I lived. Was I able to sense this on some level that others around me could not. My challenge in life was to learn what reality was for me. It was years later that I learned that it was lessons of life that would bring me to a special place of acceptance if only for brief times. Learning that it was my choice on how events effected me went a long way to be able to live in a world that still to this day I read everyday about the same wrongs are being done to others. By sharing I learned that I was able to make that step of another’s journey lighter in many ways. I'm going to being a study of these teachings at the Kabbalahlearningcenter.info and will let you know what I learn about myself. http://perceivingreality.com/ a great video, please email me and let me know what you think…lj just a thought for today and a new page in my life: http://ladyjztalkzone.com/oldAgeTeachings.aspx May 04 Giving myself permission to be stillthis was words that came across my desk that made me think of how I felt about the many times in my life that I find myself “still” and sometimes how that would make me frustrated. Lady J I had to learn to accept elation I felt after I had learned an important lesson, achieved a goal, or had a big breakthrough was sometimes be met with a period of downtime afterward. During those periods of transition, I would feel unsure or not know where to turn next. For me, during the pause between achievements, I would begin to wonder what my life was really about. I had to learn that those feelings were common and strike everyone from time to time. Human beings are active creature who feel best when we are working on a project or vigorously pursuing a goal. I also had to learn that there is nothing inherently wrong with spending a day, a week, or even a month simply existing and not having a plan. I had to learn to just be. It wouldn't be long before I would embark upon my next voyage of growth and discovery. The quiet lull into we which we fall between ideas, projects, and goals can make life seem empty. After accomplishing one objective, I would want to move immediately on to the next. However, when my next step was unclear, I felt frustrated, disconnected, and many times slip into a depression. I even perceive my lack of forward momentum as an indicator of imminent stagnation. To calm these distressing thoughts, I had to learn that if my goal was just personal growth, then I would continue to grow as an individual whether striving for a specific objective or not. Spending time immersed in life and pleasures can be a cathartic experience that gives you the time you need to think about what you have recently gone through and take time to contemplate what you want to do next. You may also find that in simply being and going through the motions of everyday life, you reconnect with your priorities in a very natural and calm way. This transitional pause can take many forms. For some, it can be a period of reflection that helps them understand how their life has unfolded. For others, it can be a period of adjustment, where new values based on recent changes are integrated into daily life. Just because you're not headed swiftly to a final destination doesn't mean you should assume that you have lost your drive. The time between journeys can become a wonderful period of relaxation that prepares you for the path that will soon be revealed to you. When we keep an image of what we hope to accomplish in our minds when working toward a specific goal, we tend to work harder and more efficiently, regardless of the nature of our circumstances. Since we are continuously thinking about the rewards that are potentially awaiting us at the conclusion of our endeavors, we cannot be deterred from pursuing the unique paths we have chosen to follow. brought to you from Lady Jz Talk Zone May 01 Thoughts for a new chapter in my life……Using the heartache to help Others Pain that we have felt in our lives when it comes to that inner story is one that permeates all of our lives to some degree. These are from many hurts that have become part of our experiences and have touched me very deeply. These are the pains that don't hurt any more yet I find that the stories couldn't just be let go. Many professionals claim that it is just easier to keep that pain inside where it acts as a shield that shelters us from others and gives us an identity. Of course they call it that of a victim. From this the feel we draw bitter strength. I beg to differ at this age. I'm going to be 57 this August and though through this journey I have understood some of what they say is true, I also have developed my own truth that I've learned to live with. I'm not unique in how I feel because thousands of people have read my words and agreed. Many would love to do just as I am doing yet they are afraid to act better then they are. I understand very well what they mean. In this society of professionals who agree that Multiples are a fact still think and counsel in the frame of mind that "they can fix us" "make us whole" and a hundred others ways I've heard and read that we can be "cured?" only to listen/read so many emails and stories of what really happens down the road when our inner world once again breaks through. They call it a break down I believe because that's how they see it. In my mind it's a break through. A releasing of those who have given us our very lives at times in our life where I would never have lived any other way. I believe one step further then the idea that our kinship with others who have had similar life stories then the very old now ideas of channeling your pain. I believe that we come into each others lives at the time we need to work through and remember our own lessons. In 'old age' teachings "when the student is ready a teacher will appear" and for me it's been "when the teacher in me needs to remember a student always appears." Thus my lessons in life prepared me to help another soul on the same life journey I am on. These are not "new age" teachings. These teachings are as old as time itself. The same messages repeated over and over again in every doctrine, religion, bible, prophet, and the list goes on. The only thing that ever changes just as with those like myself, is the names, the faces, and the location that it happened. If it is the first time you are hearing it, then it is part of your new age of thinking. Those wonderful feelings you get when you read something in a book for the first time and that glow or warm feeling comes over you. At first you can't get enough of it and you begin to search for it every place you can. Sometimes in my life it's become my next addiction. Then in time when the words I wanted to read just weren't forth coming I would slowly go back to my real life wondering if there was any hope of finding that peace staying for more then just this short time. Those in certain communities, 12 step programs, congregations, assemblies have the same thing happen within them. Some people can stay connected to that and continue to draw the forces from it. I ask myself "why can't I?" and the multitude of Multiples like me. I know many who aren't multiple do the same thing of "engage and withdraw" so it's not unique to just me. What is that one thing that keeps pulling my mind/body/spirit away from that source of energy and peace? Why was it only when I was with like minds I felt like them? Everyone of us who is an Intuit and/or an Empath have answers to many of those questions. And with each answer comes so many more questions. I will share many of those questions with you as we continue. I never need to share the answers because we all have them, or have heard them before. It's the questions that boggle my mind and it's in asking the questions that others find their own answers. That is what I have done all my life and the reward for me is when I see that light finally come into the eyes that have been dark for so long. That is why Lady J talks. April 27 News from Many Voices Press along with Many Thanks to all who helped out in October!Dear Friends of MV, Moving Forward - With Your Incredible Help! And believe me, We need and deeply appreciate YOUR HELP! Here in the MV office we've been going non-stop since our first fund raising appeal last October, aiming to place MV in a position of strength. But (surprise!) the economy tanked...and we find ourselves, once again, running on empty. Many of you understand what it's like to be financially stressed. But MV was built on the belief that hope and struggle inspires us to be better, work harder, and become more effective as individuals and as a community. We want all MV readers, regardless of your situation, to share in our growth and recovery. If you can help with money, bring it on! We need it! But if you would like to help in a different way- offering MV and its readers your time, ideas, and talents - we feel honored that you find MV a suitable outlet for your abilities. As you'll see from our list of current actions and future plans, we put your financial and volunteer assistance to immediate use. Our overall goal is to pursue growth while keeping the quality level of the newsletter equal-to or above our past 20 years of success. Let us know whether you think we're doing our job, and what we can do to improve our service to you! **************************************************** ***************************************************** Current Needs: Most critical --PRINTING costs: We've paid for the February print run, thanks to many new subscriptions and help from Mark & Pegge Singer, Karen Y., Taffy G., Eve B., Laura & Bill, Paula Ulrich, Beverly L, Valeda M., Roberta D., Patrick McAteer SJ, Kathleen Rapp LCSW, Ruth Blizard PhD, Sheryl T., Beverly S., Jeane A., and Sandi Fox. Freda T., Linda S., Wendy K, and Larry & Crystal M.D. have assisted MV greatly via regularly scheduled payments. This "regular income" helps MV and is perhaps easier on the budget for the contributor that a big lump-sum donation. So please accept MV's grateful thanks to ALL of you, who've helped us out of the February Hole. Now, of course, we must contend with the APRIL Hole...Once again, we need nearly $2,000 to cover printing and mailing costs for April. Our goal is to get back on track, pay-as-we-go, as soon as possible. Personally, I can't wait! We will be able to do so much more for our readers when MV's internal economy improves! Critical Need #2 - D&O Insurance Recently we received a quote for the Directors & Officers Liability Insurance that is essential to attract top quality professionals for our Board. The quote is reasonable for this sort of thing- slightly under $1050. If someone knows of a family foundation or other source that might donate to fulfill this specific need, I'd be ecstatic. Once we've signed onto this policy, we can recruit a clinician or two for the Board and dive into grant-writing and other fundraising solicitations with a credible slate of board members. Pitching in for MV! Our Fabulous Volunteers! So many people help make MV more viable these days. Over the coming months, you will notice the improvements and service expansions they bring. Among this list (& if I omit your name, send me a note and I'll be triple-sure to include it next time around): Paul T, Michael F. and Mike Skinner have offered a number of valuable suggestions to help grow MV's services and upgrade content delivery. Book Reviews on the Site! Paul T's idea of posting reader-prepared book reviews on the website is a perfect example. Initially, these reviews (you can write one!) will appear under the Other Books link, though that may change when we finally get to our web redesign. In conjunction with this effort, Roberta D. finished the important task of researching ISBNs for the existing book reviews in that location. I still have work to do on this, but in the end we hope to connect these reviews with a bookseller like Amazon, so MV can earn a few pennies via click-through. Send your book reviews to me at MORE Web Activity! In addition to Paul, others involved in revamping our online presence include Lady Jz (Jacki S.), Kelly E., Sonya M, and MV's top-notch IT specialist-volunteer, Steve Lyle. Ray M is using the web to research clinic and mental health o rganization addresses. We want every clinic in the country to know that MV exist and is ready to help trauma survivors find peace of mind. That's a big reason we want to start a suitable e-newsletter...another task that we're working on. Debbie E., BD and Michael F. have helped us keep MV's website "fresh" by checking the entries under our Sharing link, and adding their own replies. This is a very important task that almost anyone with a computer can help with! Just click the Sharing Link at www.manyvoicespress.org Reply to any question where you have an opinion. Even the oldest questions are updated, so there is plenty to r ead through. We want to keep adding opinions, because new visitors who encounter MV for the first time are very interested in the questions. The more answers, the better! Send yours soon! MV is TWITTERING, too! Follow us on Twitter at manvoicesnews. I like the idea of Twitter: it seems like a simple way to keep people aware of what's happening at MV. I'm trying to place the code for a Twitter box on the index page, so everyone who visits can see what's happening. I tried to do it myself, but I'm not that skilled with Dreamweaver, and my efforts made the index page look clunky. I want the index page to look GOOD. Any Volunteers? Help Spread the Word about MV MV wants to educate the public about the after math of trauma. We are looking for outgoing and healthy volunteers to perform this important function in their city or region. Volunteers Jenn J. and Mike Skinner have led the way. Both have passed out MV literature to their constituents, made contacts, and helped MV considerably by their efforts. Jenn has contacted numerous therapists and groups in her area. She is a fountain of creativity, constantly coming up with valuable ideas for future revenue streams. MV would love to have more helpers like this. If you would like to speak about trauma recovery and MV, or need literature to pass along to others, let me know. We'll find a way to make it happen. ART EVENT Our wonderful Board Members- Glenda, Barbara, Bill, and Priscilla- Just finished taking time out of their own busy schedules to complete another board meeting. Among other topics, we discussed staging an art gallery showing and fundraising auction here in Cincinnati. If you are an artist who would like to contribute a piece of your work toward an MV fundraiser, let me know. We will need photos first (email is ok) and dimensions of the work, to make preliminary selections. Since many of you are in as much financial stress as MV is, we are open to splitting the revenues with the artist, up to and including 50% of the auction sales price (less shipping). The artist may wish to give us a minimum price. If bidding doesn't surpass the artists' minimum, the artwork will be returned to the artist at MV's expense. MV will pay shipping charges for all individually-solicited artworks. Thanks to Cincinnati-area Volunteers In addition to the hours and IT expertise contributions made by our computer wonder-man Steve Lyle, MV appreciates the dozens of hours donated to office work, by Adrienne Jackson, Kwaeli Robinson, Corey Corsen and Jonada Jacobsen in recent weeks. I am a bit (more than a bit) disorganized, but these wonderful women are helping me to shape up and put things back where they belong! Thanks so much to all of you! I'm hoping to see more local volunteers after the tax season ends (Heather? are you listening?) ******************************************************** ********************************************************* Well, once again I've run out of room. But I hope you'll read through this carefully, and consider one or more ways to help MV. WE NEED YOU...we want to serve you and all the others who have struggle so long. There is a better life for us... but we have to work to bring it into reality. Than you for sharing your journey and progress with us a MV Sincerely, Lynn W., Executive Director from Lady Jz Talk Zone to any one out there who has struggled in their lives and would love to be able to share their journey with others and help. Since I’ve gotten here, just a few weeks now, the family has seen the tornadoes which luckily went around where we are just west of Houston and east of the big ones. Plenty of rain just far out of the way of flood areas. And now cases of this coming up in the Houston area and deaths reported because people just thought it was a freak cold. Go figure! So I’ll just stay away from the stores for a week or so. That’s about the only place I’d come in contact with anyone who would be working in the Houston area.
